Erik’s Fat Boy Motivation:

It’s rest day (For me at least)! There sure are lots of things happening this month! As the weather changes workouts and runs shift to be outdoors, people start doing gardening stuff outside, heck life just starts to gravitate to being outdoors!

I don’t know about you, but rest day for me is planning day. I spend it mentally preparing and dreaming about what is to come. Part of that is thinking about how I am going to enjoy the outdoors this year. Not just being in better shape, but being in a healthier place in life is generally going to make this outdoors season wonderful! There will be outdoor hikes, a camping trip or two (I hope), runs with my bride, and playing with my kids… Let’s see if they can keep up with me.

On your rest day give yourself permission to exercise your mind. Reawaken dreams you once had but gave up because you were not healthy enough. Set new dreams and goals to work for and attain.

Use the downtime to dream big and not be afraid to push past your comfort zone… I mean why not? You are the only one standing in your way. In the meantime, go work your butt off!
