Erik’s Fat Boy Motivation: I don’t know how true or real the picture above is, but it is none-the-less motivating to me! I look at it and think, “at my age that is realistic and attainable!” So it is something to strive for! If this picture is true, then what is your excuse?
This isn’t the time to blame your situation, your job, your family, or whatever else… This is a time to evaluate your circumstance and do something about it. Are there days I would much rather grab a snickers bar instead of steamed broccoli? Heck yeah! Are there days that I want to slouch on the couch with a bowl of Cheetos on my stomach instead of dead lifts and burpees? Umm yeah! But do I like the problem of see what smaller sized clothes fit instead of the next size up? OH YEAH!!!
That is what is motivating me these days. Don’t get me wrong I will always be a jeans and plaid shirt kind of guy, but I don’t like paying more for my clothes because they are XX or XXX (not anymore for this one!!!) sized. From a purely financial standpoint it can be expensive to switch from highly processed foods to healthier options but eventually there is an equilibrium is reached where less trips to the doctor, less medicine, less for clothes more than make up for how much healthy veggies, fruits, and lean meats cost.
I use money because that is a driving force for so many people.
Either way, shed your excuses and make a difference in your life.
Have a great day and a great workout!
Erik
