Erik’s Fat Boy Motivation: Don’t Give Up!
That is what I will be reminding myself of all day! Don’t give up! Especially, while I am knocking out my sprint intervals. Tomorrow is my goal update and I have to keep reminding myself this is not an easy journey, there will be ups and downs. Getting this dissatisfied and unhealthy was easy. Becoming satisfied with my physical self and getting healthy are going to be difficult uphill climbs. There are going to be days when I feel as if I can take on the world (yesterday) and there are days when I just want to eat 5 pounds of donut holes, washing it down with a two liter of soda, and getting my money’s worth out of Hulu Plus and Netflix (today). The funny thing is the thought of those foods makes me feel kind of gross… Haha! But you get the idea.
Kristen over at the Miss fits page on Facebook does a fantastic job of encouraging her “maniacs” each day by check-ins, discussions, reminders, and even a fat boy nod the other day! I think it’s wonderful what she is doing for her group! And it’s also what we need at times. We need that encouragement and that reminder that we may workout alone, but we don’t have to feel alone! I am blessed to have my amazing bride to share all of this with, my hope is that if there isn’t someone like that for you that you would reach out for it to groups like Kristen’s or something like it.
So let the theme of your day be: DON’T GIVE UP!
Well, it’s nearly 6am so it’s off to the gym to make my fat cry.
